Freeride World Tour

Competition Face Previews

Through a partnership with Fatmap, new face previews of all competition venues were created to provide a sense of geography to the audiences watching the events.

Created in After Effects, several different layers were overlayed and elements 3D tracked into the videos resulting in the final video.

Graphics

Throughout the Freeride World Tour season, I've had the privilege of crafting a diverse array of designed images tailored for various platforms and purposes. From website banners to social media posts and livestream graphics, each visual element served to enhance the tour's digital presence and engagement. The scope of my work encompassed podcast cover art, score rosters, athlete announcements, competition schedules, event calendars, and more. These creations were meticulously crafted to meet the unique demands of each communication channel while maintaining a cohesive brand identity. Social Media

In addition to my design work, I also undertook comprehensive responsibilities in managing the Freeride World Tour's social media presence. During the preseason, I diligently curated and published two engaging posts per day to foster community interaction and anticipation for the upcoming events. As the excitement mounted in the lead-up to competitions, my role evolved to encompass ensuring the timely upload of various elements integral to our communication strategy, intensifying to four uploads per day.

Alongside static graphics, I produced numerous dynamic videos tailored for optimal impact on social media platforms. Overseeing the company's Instagram account, I spearheaded efforts that led to a significant surge in followers, surpassing the 700,000 mark during my tenure. Furthermore, I orchestrated a remarkable growth trajectory for the FWT's TikTok account, amassing over 100,000 followers within a single season on the platform. These achievements underscore my dedication to amplifying the Freeride World Tour's digital footprint and fostering meaningful engagement across diverse social media channels.

Motion Graphics

In addition to my design and social media duties, I took charge of motion graphics assets, including lower thirds, which played a crucial role in enhancing our post-event video highlights and other competition footage. Previously, individualized mograph elements needed to be manually adjusted for each athlete, consuming significant editing team hours. To streamline this process and maximize efficiency, I conceptualized and developed a comprehensive solution. I not only created all the motion graphics elements but also transformed them into Motion Graphics Templates (MOGRTs). These templates allowed editors to effortlessly select an athlete from a dropdown menu, automatically adjusting the element's shape and size to fit seamlessly within the video frame. Moreover, recognizing the potential for wildcard entries, I integrated a custom field, ensuring adaptability for unforeseen additions to the line-up. This innovative approach not only optimized workflow efficiency but also ensured consistency and professionalism across all our post-production endeavours.
